Development of New Market for Telematics Products in Central Asia

 


 Project goals

Organisation of new direct contacts between health care, education and business professionals in Central Asia and telematics applications developers in Western Europe using new telecommunications. The project aims to determine which technologies are most efficient in these fields in Central Asia and how these technologies could increase the quality of the services.

 
 DENEMA is focused on

  • Adopting new information technologies in fields of distance learning, telemedicine, electronic commerce through Central Asia Region;
  • Connecting Central Asia Region to Information Highway;
  • Testing and adaptation telematics products through Central Asia;
  • Supplying hottest information about Central Asia telematics market.

 Services provided

  • tele-consultations;
  • easy retrieval and exchange of documented medical information via Internet (electronic mail and in real time (on-line)) both internationally and in the Central Asian region; exchange and process information on methods of diagnostics:
    • access to world wide specialised biomedical, and other, information banks;
    • commercial information on medicine;
  • tele-training.
Tele-consultations will open to specialists, the opportunity to exchange information concerning patients and without travelling to the region, issue consultations via telecommunication channels.
    Tele-medical net consists of:
  • Central Asian Health Care Clearing House (at the Almaty Diagnostics and Treatment Centre);
  • telecommunication centre (Almaty, KATELCO);
  • foreign consultation diagnostics centre;
  • regional medical information centre (Stage 1 - around 4 clinics in Kyrgystan (Bishkek), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Turkmenistan (Ashgabad) and Tadjikistan (Dushanbe).
